The Oasis Botanical Sanctuary is a newly formed California nonprofit corporation (501(3)c, and it’s specific purpose is to scientifically research and educate the public on ecological development, and to provide positive solutions in peaceful ways. The Oasis exists to set the correct example of ecological restoration. ways. The Oasis exists to set the correct example of ecological restoration. Community gardens, composting and reuse centers, as well as a research institute and botanical sanctuary are all projects of the Oasis.

The Oasis is currently seeking qualified individuals (educators and researchers) to become a part of the "Scientific Research and Education Board" of the Oasis Botanical Sanctuary. The SR&E board receives approximately one third of the total income given to the Oasis to carry out the projects of the board. Current projects include a volunteer program in which the Oasis asks individuals to spend several hours a week on the study of environmental issues as well as helping the Oasis spread the word. Certificates are awarded to those who accomplish a year of service.

A online newsmagazine called "Earth Voice" has been published to provide the public with interesting articles, interactive games and interesting links to related topics. Future projects include audio/visual presentations or documentaries, seminars, lectures and festivals.

At this time we can only accept volunteers, however in the future the Oasis will be hiring personnel to accomplish it’s goals. Please take the time to join this vitally important purpose.

The Scientific Research and Education Board is a lower board of the Oasis Botanical Sanctuary. It's Purpose is to propose and conduct scientific research related to ecological development, as well as educate the public on this vital knowledge. This lower board receives aprox. one third of the total funds raised in order to operate and carry out its mission. Currently operating costs are being shared with the Executive Board, these are Community Bank maintenance fees and web server Earthlink.
